Professor Wolfgang Marquardt and Professor Dierk Raabe are New Members of the Wissenschaftsrat
Professor Wolfgang Marquardt and Professor Dierk Raabe are new members of the Scientific Commission of the Wissenschaftsrat. Professor Marquardt is head of AVT, Process Systems Engineering, RWTH Aachen University; Dierk Raabe is professor at the Department and Chair of Physical Metallurgy and Metal Physics at RWTH Aachen University, and he is director of the Max-Planck-Institut for Iron Research since 1999. Both scientists are highly valued experts in their respective disciplines. Potential members of the Scientific Commission are jointly proposed by several renowned scientific institutions such as the DFG and finally appointed by the German President. The Wissenschaftsrat is an advisory council for the Federal Government and the State Governments.
