Prof. Berkels Publishes Paper in Nature Communications Journal

Together with a team of nine researchers Prof. Benjamin Berkels developed a method to measure positions of atomic sites with new precision. Their success is published in the renown Nature
Communications Journal in May 2014. With their method it is possible to locate atoms in high-resolution images of materials to better than one picometer. It therefore provides new insights into the structure of surfaces, defects and interfaces that influence a broad variety of material´s behaviour.

The Nature Communications Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Nature Publishing Group. It is designed to publish cross-desciplinary research of the natural sciences.
