Marek Behr Elected to the Executive Council of the German Association of Computational Mechanics

Within the framework of the 6th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering in Vienna, Professor Marek Behr has been elected to the Executive Council of the German Association of Computational Mechanics (GACM) for a four-year term.
Prof. Wolfgang Wall (TU Munich), Prof. Michael Kaliske (TU Dresden) and Prof. Sven Klinkel (RWTH Aachen) were elected as President, Vice-President and Treasurer, respectively. Prof. Sigrid Leyendecker (University of Erlangen-Nürnberg) and Dr. Thomas Münz (DYNAmore GmbH) will also serve as Council members.
GACM aims to stimulate research, training and the industrial practice in the area of computer simulation in engineering and natural sciences, to support the exchange of ideas on modeling, method development and applications in engineering and applied sciences, and to promote, coordinate and organize meetings and conferences in this field. GACM represents the interests of its members in appropriate international associations.
