GREAT SUCCES: AC.CES 2013

The second Aachen Conference on Computational Engineering Science (AC.CES) was held on September 09-11 at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany. During the three days topics such as control, optimization, inverse problems and model order reduction were presented and discussed.
Seventeen internationally renowned invited speakers lectured on a variety of topics covering both methods and applications related to problems in computational engineering. The objective of the conference was to present both cutting-edge research and facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations.
Highlight from AC.CES was the poster session. The poster session featured nearly fifty posters, three of which received an award as winners of the Best Poster Competition.
The conference attracted more than 100 participants.
