Dr. Stefanie Elgeti becomes Co-Chair of EYIC
MAt the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) Congress 2016, which took place during June 5-10, 2016 on the Crete Island, Greece, AICES Junior Research Group Leader Dr. Stefanie Elgeti was selected as a Co-Chair of the ECCOMAS Young Investigator Committee (EYIC). Over the term of four years, she will be heading the EYIC together with Dr. Alexander Popp from TU Munich. The EYIC groups together delegates of national and regional associations of computational mechanics and applied mathematics, and represents the interests of young scientists on the ECCOMAS executive committee. EYIC is also in charge of organizing the bi-annual Young Investigator Conference, such as the one that took place in Aachen in July 2015.
