DFG Project Approved for Junior Research Group Leader Prof. Roger A. Sauer Ph.D.

The project "Simulation of Non-Crimp Fabrics based on Computational Isogeometric Shell Elements, Analytical Averaging and Experimental Analysis” will be conducted for the next three years by Prof. Roger A. Sauer Ph.D., Research Group Leader at AICES, together with Prof. Mikhail Itskov, Department of Continuum Mechanics, and Univ.-Prof. Prof. h.c. Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Thomas Gries, Institut für Textiltechnik, RWTH Aachen University.
