Dahmen elected to the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina
Prof. Wolfgang Dahmen, Mathematics IGPM, Principal Investigator and Co-Coordinator of AICES, became a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in 2009. Leopoldina is the world’s oldest academy of natural sciences. It was founded in 1652 in the Free Imperial City of Schweinfurt. The Academy currently comprises 28 sections. Each member belongs to a section corresponding to his/her discipline. Scientists are elected members who represent subject areas corresponding to the Leopoldina’s section structure and who have distinguished themselves by demonstrating academic excellence.
