AICES Junior Research Group Leader is Appointed Associate Professor

Another AICES Junior Research Group Leader has been appointed University Professor; namely Ms. Karen Veroy-Grepl.

In 2003 Karen Veroy-Grepl graduated with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, where she subsequently worked as a postdoctoral research associate for two years. In 2005 she entered industry and became a research and development trainee at Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart. She joined the AICES Graduate School in 2009 as a junior research group leader, and was appointed Junior Professor in 2010.

Professor Veroy-Grepl´s research interest focuses on reduced order modeling, particularly reduced basis methods for optimization, control, and inverse problems involving partial differential equations.
