Commercial tools for the numerical simulation of fluid-flow are still mainly based on Finite-Volume-Schemes and reach second order at the max. Nevertheless, there is an increasing interest in computing these simulations by higher order to capture all the flow-features present.
There has been a lot of research interest in the last years in that field. I am especially interested in the use of Discontinuous Galerkin discretizations. To make computations much more effective, I study the use of a so-called "Dual Problem" to make mesh-adaptation possible.
Further research activities include the implementation of (especially high-order) boundary conditions
